fireworks - REV Hodgepodge Thursday

The San Francisco sky will light up with a stunning firework display to mark Independence Day this coming Monday.  If you are not graced with a roof deck or terrace to enjoy the occasion fear not, there are many spots throughout the City which are ideal to enjoy the colorful spectacle. Sure you can head to Pier 39 or Crissy Field, but if you are looking for somewhere with a little bit more breathing room, take a look at our recommendations.

If you want to be totally immersed in art, soul and jazz this weekend, head to the Fillmore District. The 32nd Annual Fillmore Jazz Festival rolls into town this Saturday and Sunday, and with over 100,000 attendees expected over Independence Day weekend, it’s going to be huge.

The festival takes place on the picturesque backdrop of  Fillmore Street, which is well renowned for its history and background in jazz music. The largest of its kind on the West Coast, the festival will contain over 12 blocks of fine art and crafts, live music from multiple stages and gourmet food and beverages – what more could you need?
