Amenities Near Fillmore Street in the Western Addition

Fillmore Street in the Western Addition is home to a variety of dining options and music clubs, making it a popular spot for residents. In the 40's and 50's the jazz clubs in the neighborhood attracted celebrity greats such as Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, and John Coltrane, and The Fillmore in particular was a national destination for jazz. Today, the historic music venue is operated by Live Nation, hosting a variety of popular artists and bands.

Along Fillmore Street there are several fashion and specialty retailers, as well as a diverse mix of restaurants, including pizza, Japanese cuisine, Korean BBQ, an Ethiopian eatery, Chinese restaurants, and southern soul food. Jazz lounges and nightclubs can also be found in the area, and in July, the neighborhood hosts the Fillmore Street Jazz Festival.

For groceries, residents can shop at the neighborhood Safeway, or pick up ethnic foods at the local Indian grocer. There is also a weekly farmers' market every Saturday of the year at Fillmore Center Plaza.
