An Overview
San Francisco. Celebrated in film and song, the very name has an
unmistakable romance about it. San Francisco's history is almost mythic,
from its Spanish roots to the Gold Rush, from the Summer of Love to recent
innovations in technology and genetics. The culture is vibrant and the views
are breathtaking.
It's no wonder so many people from all over the world have chosen to make
this their home.
Characteristics
San Francisco is seven miles long by seven miles wide, dotted with hills and surrounded on three sides by water. Space is limited, by nature and by design. And so properties here will always be in demand.
San Francisco is an extremely walkable city in spite of all the hills. There are dozens of little neighborhood centers, each with its own collection of cafes, restaurants, groceries and shops, which when taken in aggregate, begin to reflect and express the quality and sensibilities of that neighborhood.
The diversity of homes found here is truly breathtaking. The Victorians are celebrated of course, but they are just the beginning. There are Edwardians, Mid-century houses, Tudor homes, multi-unit flats, high-rise condos and much, much more. And the views, while spectacular during the day, become even more magical at night.
