Brooke Krohn Dougherty, MA
On a foggy, summer day in 1945, Brooke's grandfather paid $1,000 for a plot of land in the Outer Richmond and proceeded to build a home in which he and his wife would raise their family. He would tell the story about how he had no idea what the value of the land was, but went ahead with the purchase anyway because he trusted that “real estate man” and believed him when he said it was a great opportunity.
While vacant lots are few and far between these days, Brooke strives to be like that “real estate man” her grandfather described: trustworthy and someone on whom you can count.
Brooke is honest, straightforward and sincere in her business dealings, guiding her clients through win-win transactions with confidence and grace. What’s more, with a Master’s degree in counseling psychology, Brooke helps her clients with the emotional side – whether it’s in strategizing negotiations or determining what is actually the most important goal for each individual buyer and seller.
A longtime resident of San Francisco, Brooke knows each neighborhood’s singular authentic personality – far beyond what the latest neighborhood guide might say. She likes helping buyers find the place and surroundings that they’ll enjoy the most. In addition to the San Francisco market, Brooke has extended her practice into Sausalito – in Marin – just beyond that beautiful red bridge of ours.
In her free time you might find Brooke on a morning jaunt with her dog at Land’s End or swimming in Aquatic Park and beyond.
When it comes to real estate, Brooke keeps her eye on the prize and does what’s whatever it takes to connect great people with great properties. It’s true she’s a bit unconventional, but in a good way – and that’s just the way her clients like it. Her grandfather would be proud.
