Jane has a background in the arts - a Masters degree in Fine Arts from the Univ. of California, Berkeley. She ran the art school program at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art in the '70's, then was the sales manager at 2 galleries before owning the Ivory/Kimpton Gallery here in San Francisco. This arts background provides an ability to visualize possibilities in properties where others can't and also provides extensive experience in contracts and negotiation to Jane's work in real estate.

Jane has her Brokers license as well as the GRI designation, which entails 12 full day tested high-level real estate courses above and beyond the real estate licensing courses and test. The GRI courses are in legal aspects, financing, marketing, technology, consumer protection, environmental concerns, construction overview, documentation, agency duties and trust funds. (Only 2% of the Realtors in California have earned this certification).

Jane also has earned the E-Pro certification which focuses on how best to utilize the internet and email communication (1% of California agents have this) to better serve her clients. Jane is also a member of the National Association of Professional Women.

Jane was a Board Member of Enterprise for High School Students which helps disadvantaged students gain life skills enabling them to reach beyond present circumstances.
